nosebag #86
Hi everyone and welcome to the nosebag. This is the part of WHAT ABOUT WOMEN that I send out every Sunday, a round-up of everything I’ve been reading, writing and thinking about in the past week.
The nosebag has always been paywalled, but as I’m sure you’ve noticed if you are one of my nine thousand subscribers (NINE THOUSAND!! this amazes me), a lot of my other content has been free for you to read over the past few years that I’ve been writing on Substack.
Lately I’ve been reflecting on this and thinking about how it sits alongside the themes I often write about - particularly women valuing themselves in a world that often sidelines them and takes them for granted. And I’ve realised I’ve been doing some of that undervaluing myself.
So I’m making a change. From now on, the vast majority of my writing here will be for paid subscribers.
If you do decide to upgrade today, you’ll also be able to come along to this week’s zoom meet-up on Thursday evening, where we will be discussing confessional writing as a feminist act. I’ll send out the zoom link early next week, along with some possible writing material to get us thinking on this topic.
But for now, here comes that paywall! I really hope to see you on the other side!
