I wanted to come however was at work where the concept of pregnancy being a normal physiological event has been turned into a high risk act which backs up the historical context Helen describes about women’s bodies. Thanks for the description and how was Julie ?

You are so kind!! It never crossed my mind that I could ask you!! I am quite isolated here as I am with my husband who is doing a masters in Buddhist studies for fun. We are both older and semi retired. I haven’t connected with feminists here although I have tried a bit. I’m more of a woman’s rights person than a feminist at this point so a bit hesitant about what I might find. Labels!! I love what you do. I was an LLL leader in the late 1970s. (Although too radical for the nice catholic ladies)I had natural childbirth for 2 children and breastfed all 4 of my children ( 2 adopted). I thought I could brag to you a bit for fun as I so rarely even get to mention these very important parts of my life!!Again, thank you !! Your reply was surprising and validating!!!

"Trans" was one of the first books I read on this whole issue, and it was a great introduction as it is clear and logical (so unlike the ridiculous claims of "gender angels" and their ilk!). My position has always been the entire trans edifice is no more than a men's rights movement dressed in a frock, some lipstick and a spurious claim to gain more territory, including those spaces created specifically to allow women to safely participate in public life.

No mammal on the planet is nonbinary and those who indulge themselves by "identifying as" some weird and wonderful entity would not exist if they didn't have their adoring public "affirming" them continuously. Couple this with the standard "no debate" stance of those who don't want any sort of discussion because they have no valid arguments to proffer, and we are mutilating children without any regard to their actual welfare. https://lucyleader.substack.com/p/stories-we-tell-ourselves
