Thanks, Milli. I’m very grateful for all your efforts at exposing this madness over the years. When will it end, I wonder? I feel so angry about it all. How do you cope week in, week out?

Pretty angry too this week as people… especially women, ignore the law. But brightened by the fabulous JKR and her new venture backing women in the courts. As my husband pointed out, how great to see a philanthropist doing something for others and not just for the slaps on the back and what they can get back out of the system. I pointed out that this was inherently the feminine way of things… not the masculine.

Thanks for this great post, Milli. I think the religious analogy of repetition is truly apt. Gender identity ideology is a quasi-religious belief system, where a person’s gender identity is construed as a kind of secular soul in opposition to their sexed body. And just like Catholicism taught me that my body would die and my soul (the “true” me) would live on, gender identity ideology elevates “gender identity” as the true self, discarding the sexed body as inessential.

The repetitive mantras are necessary if you want to persuade people to disregard the objective material reality right in front of them in favor of an idea with no evidence backing it.

The linguistic and conceptual boundary erasure of the words “women”(and “lesbian”) in the repetitive mantras of this ideology is both a precursor and defense of eroding women’s (and lesbians’) boundaries in the real world.

I think it was Helen Joyce who predicted that trans activists and supporters would now double down, on the very day of the SC statement. And it has indeed turned out that way. 😡

The religious comparison holds up, too. It is a huge deal, traditionally, to lose one’s faith. Some people who lose their faith continue with the rituals associated with belief, knowing they no longer believe in their power, because they dare not relinquish them.

FFS, the lengths that some men will go to, to "prove" their "womanhood". At least in the UK they will be prevented from raiding the used sanitary bins in public toilets to use as comfort items in their knickers. https://lucyleader.substack.com/p/private-spaces

And that post on Genitourinary Syndrome of Lactation could point out that unlike women on testosterone (because they think they are "really" men), lactation (or as real women refer to it, breastfeeding), is a time limited activity. 94.1% of women on testosterone suffer from Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. Nearly 90% have ongoing "urinary symptoms" (meaning they are incontinent). Not to mention that this leads to painful sex, vaginal lacerations and an inability to orgasm. https://lucyleader.substack.com/p/does-testosterone-maketh-the-man
